LOS ANGELES, May 20 (UPI) — Whitney Houston’s hologram will not make its debut appearance on The Voice after a clip of the duet with Christina Aguilera leaked this week.

Pat Houston, the late singer’s estate executor, released a statement to Entertainment Tonight describing the new hologram as imperfect and “not ready to air,” after viewing the performance.

“We were looking to deliver a ground breaking duet performance for the fans of both artists,” Houston wrote. “Holograms are new technology that take time to perfect, and we believe with artists of this iconic caliber, it must be perfect…We have much respect and appreciation for Christina, and she was absolutely flawless.”

TMZ reported Houston’s camp didn’t feel the hologram looked like the star.

The official cancelation of the broadcast comes shortly after an alleged video clip of the whole performance leaked online, showing Aguilera and Houston sharing a stage as they sing “I Have Nothing” and “I’m Every Woman.”

Earlier this month, Aguielera was pushed to reveal some details about the surprise performance, set for the finale of The Voice later this month. “I am sworn to secrecy,” she told Entertainment Tonight on May 9. “I can’t say anything, but I’m very excited about the finale. Very exciting things happening.”
