PHOENIX (AP) — Comedian Will Ferrell will play nine positions while making appearances at five Arizona spring training games on Thursday.
HBO and the five home teams involved announced the stunt Wednesday.
Farrell will travel to Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale, Glendale and Peoria via helicopter. The event will be filmed for an upcoming HBO special.
HBO says Ferrell is dedicatiing his special to fighting cancer. Farrell also will honor Bert Campaneris’ fete of playing nine positions in a game five decades ago.
