Wisconsin police search for owner of abandoned casket

ADAMS COUNTY, Wis., Nov. 10 (UPI) — Wisconsin police took to social media to find the owner of an abandoned casket found along a local highway.

“It’s a little creepy and we’d like to give it back to you,” a post on the Adams County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page read.

The post goes on to dispel any possible suspicion of a supernatural occurrence, expressing certainty that it did not emerge from the ground and confirming that there have been no reports of zombies in the area.

The likely answer is that the casket was a lost or discarded Halloween prop as a local funeral home confirmed that caskets are occasionally sold to be used in haunted houses.
