Woman crafts wedding dress out of Taco Bell wrappers

March 2 (UPI) — A woman created a wedding dress made entirely of Taco Bell wrappers in hopes of winning the chance to be married at the fast food chain.

Diane Nguyen shared a photo of herself wearing the dress, made up of dozens of burrito wrappers, as part of her entry into Taco Bell’s Love & Tacos contest.

“It’s time to spill the beans. We have been engaged for 4 years, and together for 10. Taco Bell has been there through the years, from the after school runs, to late meals after work (or a night of partying). Our love for each other is as cheesy as a quesadilla,” she wrote in her entry. “We’re nachos getting married, it’s going to be a Las Vegas tacover. Lettuce celebrate our love at the Taco Bell Chapel in Vegas, cuz we are ready to guac and roll.”

On Valentine’s Day Taco Bell announced the chain will hold weddings at its Las Vegas Strip Cantina location and offered one lucky couple the chance to compete for a free trip to be the first couple married at the restaurant.

Nguyen said a friendly manager at her local Taco Bell provided her with the wrappers.

She said she hoped the elaborate dress would help her stand out among other entrants in the competition.

“If you don’t want to vote for us, that’s cool too. I hope you enjoy the ‘trashy’ photo,” she said.
