LOS ANGELES, April 7 (UPI) — {i:Scrubs} co-stars Zach Braff and Donald Faison announced on Twitter Friday they’re willing to make pizzas for gay couple in Indiana who “truly want” pizza for their wedding.
The post, a photo of the friends cruising on a boat, came as a response to a story about a Walkerton, Indiana pizzeria that refused to provide catering for gay weddings because of the restaurant’s “religious freedom” laws.

The owner of Memories Pizza in Walkerton, Ind., Kevin O’Connor, 61, closed his shop last week, days after the parlor’s stance against gay marriage was reported and {link:ignited controversy: “http://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2015/04/02/Indiana-pizzeria-owner-afraid-business-is-finished-after-gay-remarks/6271427946946/”,nw}.
The incident prompted Indiana Gov. Mike Pence {link:to modify: “http://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2015/04/02/Indiana-revises-religious-freedom-law-amid-backlash/8471428016987/”,nw} the state’s the Religious Freedom Restoration Act so that it’s clear that discrimination is not legal in the state.
As of April 4, O’Connor had {link:raised over $8,000 in donations: “http://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2015/04/04/Indiana-pizzeria-against-catering-gay-weddings-collects-over-800000-in-donations/5971428180150/”,nw} after staffer’s from Dana Loesch’s conservative talk show, {i:The Blaze}, set up a a {link:GoFundMe page: “http://www.gofundme.com/MemoriesPizza”,nw} for him and his family to “relieve the financial loss endured by the proprietors’ stand for faith.”
