Zayn Malik slams Louis Tomlinson for ‘bitchy comments’

LONDON, May 6 (UPI) — Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson exchanged words Wednesday on Twitter.

The 22-year-singer slammed his 23-year-old former One Direction bandmate after Tomlinson traded insults with Malik’s new collaborator, DJ and producer Naughty Boy, on Twitter.

“@Louis_Tomlinson remember when you had a life and stopped making bitchy comments about mine?” Malik tweeted after Tomlinson suggested Naughty Boy is piggybacking on the singer’s solo career.

Tomlinson and Naughty Boy continued to spar back and forth, with the latter boasting about his work with Emeli Sande and Sam Smith, and the former sarcastically humble bragging that he and One Direction have “done alright in terms of sales.”

@NaughtyBoyMusic Jesus forgot you were such an in demand producer …. How does it feel to be riding on the back of someone else’s career ?— Louis Tomlinson (@Louis_Tomlinson) May 6, 2015

@NaughtyBoyMusic good for you , well done !! I think we’ve done alright in terms of sales and I’ve happened to write on most. Keep trying !— Louis Tomlinson (@Louis_Tomlinson) May 6, 2015

Malik announced his departure from One Direction shortly after exiting the band’s tour in March. The news devastated fans of the English-Irish pop group, but remaining members Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan assured listeners they will continue to record and perform.
