Zendaya defends wig choice at BET awards

LOS ANGELES, June 30 (UPI) — Disney star Zendaya Coleman, 18, is defending her hair choices once again after tweets about her latest wig choice.

The “Replay” singer took to Twitter to respond to critics of her latest pixie cut wig at the BET Awards on Sunday.

Coleman tweeted, “When people don’t like your hair but they tweetin bout you tho” in response to the her choice in hair. This isn’t the first time the Disney Channel star has had to defend her hair.

Giuliana Rancic of E!’s Fashion Police criticized the dreadlocks the singer and actress wore to the Oscars, saying she looked like she smelled of “patchouli” or “weed,” according to the Washington Post.

Coleman responded that Rancic’s comments were “offensive” and “disrespectful,” reports CBS News. Rancic eventually apologized for her comments on the show.

Despite the comments made about her hair, Coleman hasn’t let it stop her and continues to wear what she wants to award shows.
