Obama Admin. Approves Plan to Make Prison Phone Calls More Affordable

In a controversial vote Thursday, the Federal Communications Commission approved a plan to “Ensuring Just, Reasonable, & Fair Rates for Inmate Calling” and would place a cap on the amount of money that communications companies charge convicts to make phone calls in jails and prisons across the country.

FAA to Announce Registration Rules for Recreational Drones

With a constant string of near misses in airports across the nation and conflicts between neighbors over allegations of spying, federal regulators have been reviewing possible rules for privately owned, recreational unmanned aerial vehicles, often called drones. Obama’s Department of Justice Opening ‘Domestic Terrorism’ Office

Likely in response to the attack in a Charleston church where nine were murdered earlier this year, the Obama administration has announced a new office at the Department of Justice aimed at tracking and coordinating investigations into domestic terrorism. They are also teaming up with the controversial Southern Poverty Law Center in the process.
