Giannakopoulos joins Hull

HULL, England - Stelios Giannakopoulos has maintained his link with the English Premier League by joining promoted Hull City.

The former Bolton midfielder, who was on the Greece squad that won the 2004 European Championship and spent five seasons with Wanderers, was a free agent.

The Tigers announced Monday that Giannakopoulos had joined the club until the end of the season with an option to stay longer.
