Torchbearer’s producer, David Bossie of Citizens United, discusses the film with Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon.
“I think the impact of this film is going to live on and that’s what I’m going to be proud of,” said Bossie. “Phil Robertson’s message to the world, to all Americans is truly one of love,” he added.
Robertson spoke to Breitbart News daily on making the film last week.
On Wednesday’s episode of Breitbart News Daily on SiriusXM Patriot Channel 125, Duck Dynasty’s Duck Commander Phil Robertson joined Breitbart Executive Chairman and host Stephen K. Bannon for a candid discussion about their latest film, Torchbearer, which is set to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival….
Torchbearer — directed by Bannon; produced by Citizens United’s David Bossie; and written by Bannon, Robertson’s nephew Zach Dasher, and Breitbart Senior West Coast Editor Rebecca Mansour — examines what happens to Western civilized societies when God is completely cut out from all spheres of public life. Robertson serves as narrator and tour guide.
Added Bossie about Robertson today, “I see how he interacts with people, how he really loves. It is amazing to watch one-on-one interaction with him and somebody that he doesn’t know come off the street and the way he can really minister them in their time. And it’s really an amazing thing to watch. What he does down there with the people in Monroe, it’s pretty special.”
Bossie anticipates Torchbearer hitting theaters in July. According to Steve Bannon, who directed the film, the official premiere will be during the Republican National Convention in Cleveland on July 17.
