Asked about Ted Cruz’s speech at the Republican National Convention Wednesday night, former Senator Scott Brown told Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon, “He missed a golden opportunity. I know a lot of Cruz supporters who are now like, ‘Yeah, we’re done’ because he promised he would support” the nominee. “He gave his word. Kasich gave his word. … Shame on them,” he added.

Brown also said that Donald Trump saw the speech two hours earlier and, nonetheless, allowed Cruz to speak, which “shows that he has a lot of class. He’s a man of his word. He said that Cruz would speak, and he let him speak.”

Brown praised Trump for picking Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his vice president, given his appeal to conservatives and record of service. He also said he believes Trump, given his broad appeal, can put several states in play that previous GOP nominees could not. He cited as proof Trump’s drawing of many new GOP voters during the primary.

Breitbart News Daily airs on SiriusXM Patriot 125 weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Eastern.
