Christian Rickers, the Virginia-based executive director of the Trumpocrats PAC told Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Matt Boyle, “We have thousands of people that are signing up every day. We had Donald Trump tweet us. He gave us a shoutout a couple of days ago, so his campaign is taking notice.”

Rickers also blasted Clinton for blasting Americans in coal country by saying she wanted to set up a program to basically give them government checks, while shutting down their livelihood. “These people don’t want a government check,” he said, adding:

They want their job back. They want their dignity back. They want to be able to support their family, and it’s insulting for her to go through there and patronize these people – dangle a check in front of their head. They want to go back to work, and that’s what Donald Trump wants to do.

Added Rickers, “She is more interested in global politics than she is repairing and fixing what we’ve got here at home. Donald Trump is the local candidate, if you will, and she’s the global candidate. For the life of me, I can’t figure out why we would go down that road.”

The group is focused on getting Democrats, as well as independents, Republicans, and unaffiliated voters to support Donald Trump in the general election. Rickers is a Democrat who supported Bernie Sanders against Hillary Clinton in the Democrat primary.

“Hillary is completely disingenuous,” said Rickers, “and she’s been on every side of every issue, so I knew as soon as that [the Democratic primary] was over with, that I was going to vote for Trump because he was standing up to the establishment.” He continued, “He had a plan to rebuild the infrastructure and economy in this country, and that’s the complete opposite of Clinton.”

Breitbart News Daily airs on SiriusXM Patriot 125 weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Eastern.
