Pat Caddell on Obama Mocking Trump’s Working Class Appeal: Democrats ‘Stopped Identifying with Working People,’ Have ‘Real Contempt for Ordinary Americans’

Longtime Democratic pollster Pat Caddell offered Breitbart News Daily analysis of the ongoing presidential election and President Barack Obama’s recent comments in Pennsylvania while stumping for Hillary Clinton.

Caddell said, “The biggest problem is the Democratic Party, my party, which was once the party of working people, has become an elitist party, basically, of the very, very rich and identity politics.”

Continued Caddell:

It has stopped identifying with working people, who, as we’ve seen in the last few days, along with their outriders in the press, [have] a real contempt for ordinary Americans who live “out there.” They don’t live with them. They don’t send their children to school with them. They have, as I said, contempt for them.

Caddell also discussed recently released polls, including ones showing Trump leading nationally and in the swing states of Ohio, Florida, and Nevada.
