Foster Friess Takes On Medical Pricing with PatientsUSA.com

Foster Friess

Philanthropist and CEO of Friess Associates, Foster Friess, spoke with Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Tuesday regarding a possible Senate run in Wyoming against Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY).

Friess went through several issues, or areas of concern to him, including immigration, health care, deficits, the current state of discourse on college campuses, and the tone in Washington.

Of the ideas that animate Friess the most is PatientsUSA.com, a website designed to give patients a seat at the table in reference to medical pricing.

The website states, “At an undisclosed location deep in the Rocky Mountains, a patient-driven health care plan is being crafted. The corrosive influence of donations from drug, hospital and insurance companies cannot find us.”

It continues, “PatientsUSA[’s] first mission is to have our federal legislators pass a bill, ‘All providers of healthcare products and services are required to publish prices.’ This important first step will help Americans with high deductibles or no insurance at all.”

Friess cited the tremendous differences in pricing for various health services, making it difficult to unravel the problems within a large system in which patients, or consumers, do not even have a seat at the table. PatientsUSA.com is the first step, along with Friess’s backing of legislation, which hopes to begin to change that equation.

Breitbart News Daily airs on SiriusXM Patriot 125 weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Eastern.
