Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant said, in an interview published in ESPN Magazine on Thursday, that he is the best one-on-one player ever, and he would beat Miami Heat superstar LeBron James in a one-on-one game of basketball without question.
When asked who would win a one-on-one contest between the two, Kobe replied: “Me. No question. As far as one-on-one, I’m the best to ever do it.”
Of James, Bryant compliment his abilities playing “five-on-five”–or team–basketball: “LeBron is a terrific all-around, five-on-five basketball player who’s an all-time great. But I’d get him.”
Bryant and the struggling Lakers play James and the Heat on Thursday in Los Angeles.
