Tiger Woods: I'd 'Forgotten' Obama's 'a Lefty'

On Tuesday, a day before the start of the Match Play Championship in Arizona, Tiger Woods spoke to golf reporters about his weekend golfing outing with President Barack Obama.

White House reporters did not have the opportunity to ask Obama and Woods about their outing because the White House banished reporters and photographers from the Floridian, the private Florida golf club where Obama played golf on his weekend vacation. The lack of access prompted Fox News reporter Ed Henry, who is the president of the White House Correspondents Association, to file a complaint.

“It’s an invitation you don’t turn down,” Woods said, after joking with reporters that Obama gave him a call and said, “Hey Tiger, want to play a round of golf?”

“It was much more involved than that,” Woods said, according to the Golf Channel.  

Woods said Obama was a “pretty good athlete,” and he had “kinda forgotten that he’s a lefty.”

Of course, Woods was talking about Obama’s swing, but it is worth noting that Woods admitted two weeks ago that he moved out of his beloved California, where he was born and raised, 16 years ago to Florida so he would not have to pay the type of high taxes his golfing “partner” Obama wants in order finance more of his big government programs. 

Here’s how Woods assessed Obama’s golf game:

We played under some tough conditions. He hit the ball well. He’s got amazing touch He can certainly chip and putt. After these four years if he spends more time playing the game of golf, I’m sure he can actually get to where he’s a pretty good stick.

“We won,” Woods said, according to CBS Sports.
