Celtics get Better, Add Crawford in Uneventful Trade Deadline

The NBA trade deadline has passed without a major deal. Jordan Crawford (pictured) filled in well for the Washington Wizards while John Wall was injured, and now the Boston Celtics have acquired Crawford to play the same role with Rajon Rondo out for the season.

We previously reported on a three-team deal involving the Kings, Rockets, and Suns with #5 pick Thomas Robinson as the headliner going to Houston.

This trade also reunited the Morris twins in Phoenix with Markieff joining his brother Marcus with the Suns after being traded from the Rockets.

As the trade deadline got closer, the Celtics and Wizards swapped undersized shooting guards with Crawford  going to the Celtics and Leandro Barbosa going to the Wizards.

Boston clearly received the better end of the deal with the younger, more talented Crawford coming to the Celtics.

This trade seems to be the only swap that will have any effect on the outcome of the NBA season.

However, the most notable name to get traded was J.J. Reddick who was dealt in a last minute from Orlando to Milwaukee. The sharpshooter will go to the Bucks in exchange for guard Beno Udrih, forward Tobias Harris, and guard Doron Lamb.

The Suns and Raptors did a minor deal that involved Sebastian Telfair going to Toronto. The Heat also sent a second round pick and center Dexter Pittman to the Grizzlies in exchange for the rights to center Ricky Sanchez.
