James Struggles, but Passes to Wade for 13th Straight Win

Watch out NBA. Even with a very human LeBron James, the heat ended Memphis 8-game winning streak by winning their 13th straight. Memphis played almost a perfect game and held James to just four points through three quarters, but Dwyane Wade scored 22 points and LeBron gave the Heat a 3-pointer in the final minute to help the Heat pull away.

James is now withint three games of Michael Jordan’s longest winning streak, though that is the only comparison would make between him and Jordan tonight.

However, James did dish out 10 assists, the last three of which went to Wade. WIth Memphis ahead 58-57, James found Wade who went to the hoop for give Miami the lead 59-58 with just under five minutes to play. He found Wade again with just under seven minutes to play to make it 78-73 Heat, and then one final time as Wade drove and slammed it home to make it 90-85 with two minutes left.

Marc Gasol did hit two free throws and a layup after that to get Memphis to within a point one more time at 90-89, but then Wade returned the favor to James, finding him in a spot where James drilled a long three-pointer to put it away for good at 93-89.  James did hit four free throws after that to provide the final 98-91 margin. He also added eight rebounds.
