After just one year in San Francisco, Randy Moss is back on the market. He revealed Saturday, in a tweet, that he will not be returning to the team that brought him back to the NFL after a one year absence.
In his one season with the team, Moss caught 28 passes for 434 yards and two touchdowns as the 49ers #3 option at receiver.
The 36-year-old Moss intends to continue his NFL career and joins a group of veteran free agents at the receiver position including Mike Wallace, Wes Welker, Greg Jennings, and Dwayne Bowe.
It is expected that the 49ers will make identifying a #2 receiver a priority in the Draft, allowing Mario Manningham to slide into a more appropriate #3 role.
