James Within 3 of Jordan: Heat Beats Minnesota for 15th Straight Win

LeBron James is within three games of Michael Jordan’s longest winning streak, as the Miami Heat beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 97-81 Monday. The Heat now goes back to Miami and can tie the Bulls’ longest winning streak if they beat Orlando (Wednesday), Philadelphia (Friday) and Indiana (Sunday).

Of course, Scottie Pippin was a big part of Jordan’s winning streak, and Dwyane Wade was the bigger star Monday as he missed only eight shots while getting 32 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds compared to just 20 points and 10 rebounds for James.

Miami broke a 6-point game open after J.J. Barea hit Ray Allen hard and was thrown out of the game.
