No. 14 Ohio State Buckeyes Top No. 2 Indiana Hoosiers on Senior Night

Ohio State used a cold-shooting first half from Indiana and capitalized on some untimely turnovers to propel the 14th ranked Buckeyes to a 67-58 road upset of the heavily favored Hoosiers.  The Hoosiers, ranked near the top of college basketball all season in scoring, mustered a mere 25 points on 33% shooting in the first half, allowing Ohio State to take a three-point lead to the locker room.

Deshaun Thomas had a game-high 18 points and Aaron Craft added 15 for the Buckeyes, who had just seven turnovers as a team.

Indiana made their first six baskets of the second half, but it wasn’t enough, as Ohio State used an 11-2 run late in the second half to put away the Hoosiers on Senior Night.

The Hoosiers had high hopes for this evening’s matchup, as a win would have secured the first outright Big Ten championship since 1993. Indiana will get one more shot at the outright title on Sunday when the Hoosiers travel to Ann Arbor to take on the #7 ranked Michigan Wolverines in the season finale. Win or lose, Indiana already has secured at least a share of the league title for the first time since 2002.
