It looked like the Patriot League might produce two All-Americans and two bids, but with Lehigh’s CJ McCollum (23.9 PPG, beat Duke in last year’s tourney) apparently still out with a broken foot, All-American center Mike Muscala was able to lead Bucknell to the season title and get home advantage through the championship on March 13. Bucknell and Lehigh won Wednesday, as did 2-seed Lafayette with 14 three-pointers. 4-seed Army won to get a semifinal at Bucknell. To follow all results, click here.
Lafayette’s ability to get past Lehigh into second place after McCollum’s injury gives them home court advantage Saturday in the other semifinal. That game is at 2 p.m. followed by the Army at Bucknell contest at 4:30 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network. Here are the top 8 players in the conference at www.valueaddbasketball.com (though McCollum was challenging Muscala for the top spot until the injury) and the ranking of the teams at www.kenpom.com.
