Harvard Wins Ivy

Harvard Wins Ivy

Harvard is headed back to the NCAA Tournament after rolling past Cornell 65-56 and Brown defeated Princeton 80-67. As Ancient Eight champions for the third consecutive year and set for a second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, Harvard has been revitalized under coach Tommy Amaker’s leadership.

Harvard (19-9, 11-3 Ivy) shot 60% from behind the arc and Laurent Rivard scored 17 points. Freshman guard Siyani Chambers contributed 16 points and five assists. Cornell (13-8, 5-9 Ivy) was 3-of-17 from three point range and 39% from the field.

Brown’s victory (13-15, 7-7 Ivy) dealt Princeton (16-11, 9-4 Ivy) its second loss in a row and any chance for the Ivy League title.
