Boise State fell short late Wednesday night against San Diego State in the Mountain West Conference, falling to 7th Place in the Middle 20. The following is an update on the Breitbart Sports Middle 20, as these 20 teams fight for nine or fewer bids. Boise States loss Wednesday is not a bad one, but it was a missed opportunity. Bucknell and Valparaiso already passed Boise State by winning their conferences, and Temple and Villanova had huge wins to likely nail down two more spots, and the following is the updated Middle 20 with their upcoming games.
Right now the 3rd through 9th team on this list deserve bids, and 10th place Louisiana Tech would lose the last spot to spoiler Western Kentucky. We believe Boise State deserves one of the last three bids along with Baylor and Iowa State, but their problem is they are done playing, so SEC and Big 12 teams chasing them could pass them with tournament wins.
