Pacific Gets Tourney Bid by Beating Anteaters to Win Big West Title

Pacific won the Big West Conference Tournament Saturday in Anaheim, California by defeating the UC Irvine Anteaters 64-55 to get the conference’s automatic bid into the NCAA tournament next week. 

According to the Associated Press, this will be Pacific’s fifth tournament appearance under head coach Bob Thomason, who will retire after this season, which is his 25th at the school. 

Tony Gill scored 19 and Lorenzo McCloud added 16 points for Pacific (22-12).
