March Madness Top Seeds: Louisville, Kansas, Indiana, Gonzaga

Louisville, Kansas, Indiana, and Gonzaga are the No. 1 seeds in the NCAA tournament. The Breitbart Sports review of the six key tournament factors for each team indicate that the favorite for a championship game is Louisville over Indiana, with a gap between those two teams and the other No. 1 seeds. On a scale of 0-50, Louisville rates a 49, Indiana a 47, and Gonzaga and Kansas are both a 38. In filling out your brackets, you should generally go with whichever team has a higher rating on the 1-50 scale, but allow two points if one team has somewhat of a home advantage based on the site.

The Louisville Cardinals, the champions of the Big East, are the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament and the top seed in the Midwest regional. 

The Kansas Jayhawks, the champions of the Big 12, are the top seed in the South.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs, champions of the West Coast Conference, are the top seed in the West. This is the first time Gonzaga has been a top seed in the school’s history. 

And the Indiana Hoosiers will be the top seed in the East regional. Indiana won the Big Ten’s regular season. 

Here are the top four seeds in each of the regionals. 

Midwest:

West:

1. Gonzaga

2. Ohio State

3. New Mexico

4. Kansas State

South:

1. Kansas

2. Georgetown

3. Florida

4. Michigan

East:

1. Indiana

2. Miami (FL)

4. Syracuse
