Friday's Red Sox, Bruins Games Postponed

Friday night’s Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park and Boston Bruins game at TD Garden have been postponed, as law enforcement authorities are on a manhunt for one of the suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings. No makeup date has been announced for the Red Sox game against the Kansas City Royals. The Bruins game against Pittsburgh has been rescheduled for Saturday.

The Red Sox stated that Friday’s game “at Fenway Park scheduled for 7:10pm has been postponed to support efforts of law enforcement officers.”

The Bruins will play Pittsburgh at TD Garden on Saturday. Pittsburgh was slated to play the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday, but that game has been moved to April 23.

Friday’s game against Kansas City would have been the first baseball game in Boston since Monday’s Boston Marathon bombings. The Red Sox had completed their game at Fenway Park before the bombings on Monday and were headed to Cleveland.

The Bruins, on Wednesday, played the city’s first major sporting event after the terror attacks.
