A 6-foot-tall plaque honoring Barry Bonds’s all-time home run record, which many think should have an asterisk by it because of his alleged use of performance-enhancing drugs, has been stolen from AT&T Park.
According to KGO in San Francisco, the plaque was “bolted and glued in place just beyond right field,” where Bonds’s record-setting 756th home run landed.
AT&T Park officials will “review surveillance video to find out what happened” after its sudden disappearance.
