Mike Tyson, who infamously bit off a part of Evander Holyfield’s ear in the ring during a heavyweight title bout in 1997, sympathized with the plight of Luis Suarez, the soccer player who got suspended 10 games for biting another player on the field during a weekend game.
On a radio show on Tuesday, Tyson said, of Suarez, “He bit someone, it happens.”
“I am sure he will make amends with this guy,” Tyson said. “I made amends with Evander and we got on with our lives.”
Tyson said he started following Suarez on Twitter after he heard of the biting incident.
“I saw this guy on the Twitter thing and thought I would check it out and see what his journey was all about,” Tyson said.
