49ers Talented Athlete to Loaded Roster

As if the San Francisco 49ers were not already among the most complete and talented franchises in the NFL, the NFC Champs just got a whole lot better.

Jim Harbaugh’s squad added tremendous talent in the NFL Draft, improving their secondary with safety Eric Reid, their pass rush with defensive end Tank Carradine and outside linebacker Corey Lemonier, and their offensive skill positions by selecting running back Marcus Lattimore, wide receiver Quinton Patton, and tight end Vance McDonald.

The most talented of their additions, however, is undrafted free agent Lawrence Okoye, the 6’6″, 304 pound British Olympic discus thrower whose 4.78 forty yard dash and other incredible measurables was noticed at the NFL regional combine in Dallas.

With no football experience, it will be an uphill battle for Okoye to make an NFL roster, however, he is an incredible specimen who could develop into a real force. Much like Lattimore, who would have been a high first round draft pick if not for a season ending injury, Okoye is a low-risk, potentially high-reward prospect that could pay big dividends for the already loaded team.
