Perez Hilton: 'Offensive' Vikings Cut Kluwe Because of Gay Marriage Advocacy

Perez Hilton accused the Minnesota Vikings of releasing punter Chris Kluwe because of his gay marriage advocacy and said the roster move was “offensive.”

The gossip columnist, who also happens to be gay, wrote that he was “so upset about this that we can’t even think straight!”

“It’s SO offensive to us that supporting equality would result in a job loss!” he said, even though statistics showed Kluwe was not one of the best punters and Vikings fans were the least surprised by the news. “We hope you find a better, more TOLERANT team, Chris!”

In the modern NFL, even the most high-profile players and superstars are cut, so a punter being released should not shock anybody, especially when the punter was hardly one of the best at his position statistically.
