Tiger: I would Never Call In Golf Penalties While Watching TV

Addressing the two-shot penalty on the 15th hole of the Masters that he received for an illegal drop, Tiger Woods said he would never call in a penalty while watching golf on television.

“I don’t ever see myself calling in and saying that Kobe (Bryant) traveled or things like that. .. or some offensive lineman held,” Woods said Tuesday before the Players Championship that begins on Thursday. “But it’s our sport. And that’s what we’ve done and we’ve accepted. Certain groups are going to get more heat than others just because they’re on TV. It is what it is.”

Woods was reportedly assessed the penalty after a viewer called the Masters while watching Woods’s second round on television.
