Fox Sports 1 hired former U.S. tennis star Andy Roddick to co-host a late-night sports show on the all-sports channel that will air between 11 p.m to 2 a.m. ET. The show will reportedly be called “Fox Sports Live.”
The network has already poached Charissa Thompson, a dynamic and rising star, from ESPN. Thompson will join her friend Erin Andrews at Fox Sports, which will attempt to do to ESPN what Fox News did to CNN and overtake the “mainstream” sports network in the ratings wars.
Sports Illustrated reported the hire for the all-sports network, which will launch on August 17.
