Cheap-Shot Artist? Questionable Elbow Adds to Dwyane Wade's Dirty Player Reputation

In the fourth quarter of Friday’s game two of the Eastern Conference finals against the Indiana Pacers, Dwayne Wade of the Miami Heat clocked Indiana’s Lance Stephenson with an elbow that almost knocked him out. Wade and Stephenson were running down the court when Wade leaped and elbowed Stephenson behind the head. He got away with it, as the officials did not see the play, but the borderline play again drew attention to the fact that Wade has been gaining a reputation as a dirty player who does things like this and gets away with it.

Multiple publications have written that Wade has been a dirty player for years, as the videos below that BigLeadSports highlighted show, and people are just starting to notice. Here is Wade’s elbow to Stephenson.

Wade has a history of questionable plays that can be described as cheap shots.

Many on Twitter seem to have also seen a pattern of classless and dirty plays by Wade, and did not view his elbow as an isolated or “inadvertent” incident.
