Memphis Grizzlies basketball player Quincy Pondexter may have just been swept out of the Western Conference playoffs by the San Antonio Spurs, but the former University of Washington star is trying to sweep Miss Tennessee Chandler Lawson off her feet.
On Wednesday, Pondexter successfully asked 2012 Miss Tennessee Chandler Lawson out on date–on Twitter.
Pondexter first tweeted, “Who won Miss Tennessee this year?
His tweet was not directed at Lawson, but Lawson responded to his tweet by saying, “hi! Heard you were looking for me?”
Pondexter, showing he is indeed clutch, seized his opportunity and asked if Lawson were single. After she replied that she was, Pondexter asked her out on a date, and Lawson agreed, tweeting, “you got it! We”ve got an audience waiting apparently!”
