There is a reason the NBA loves Game 7s. Monday night’s showdown between Miami and Indiana drew the highest rating ever for an NBA game on TNT.

According to the Associated Press, the Heat’s clinching victory drew a 7.1 rating, and the “series averaged 8.4 million viewers,” which was “up 8 percent from last year’s Thunder-Spurs Western Conference finals on TNT that went only six games.”
