The New York Mets joined both Boston baseball teams as the only Major League teams to lose four games of 20 innings or more when they fell the Miami Marlins 2-1 in 20 innings Saturday. The Houston Astros are the best 20-inning team in history with a 3-0 mark, while the Braves are the worst. The records of every team in 20 inning games is listed below:

The Boston Red Sox are 1-4, while the other Boston team -if you had forgotten – is the Boston Braves who managed to go 0-4 before moving to Milwaukee and later Atlanta. The Braves never played a 20 inning game in Milwaukee, but lost one in Atlanta to drop to 0-5 when viewed as a franchise.
