Patriots offensive lineman Matt Light, a former teammate of Aaron Hernandez, said over the weekend that he never really “embraced” what Hernandez stood for.
“I never talk about other guys, but I will say I have never embraced — never believed in — anything Aaron Hernandez stood for,” Light told the Dayton Daily News.
Other former teammates, like Deion Branch, called Hernandez a “great friend” and “great teammate” and was “shocked” to learn of the allegations against Hernandez.
Hernandez pled not guilty to the first-degree murder of Odin Lloyd and will be in jail until his trial starts because he has been denied bail twice.
