Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant “unfollowed” former teammate Dwight Howard on Twitter on Friday night after Howard formally announced that he was leaving the Lakers to sign with the Houston Rockets.
Bryant and Howard repeatedly clashed in Los Angeles, as Howard’s often cavalier attitude about the game did not fit in with Bryant’s intensity and reverence of the Laker traditions.
After unfollowing Howard, Bryant sent out a picture on Instagram with himself and Pau Gasol with the words, “#vamos #juntos #lakercorazon #vino.” As the Los Angeles Times notes, that translates into, “‘We go, united — Laker heart,’ along with Bryant’s nickname of ‘Vino.'” Like wine (Vino), Bryant has said he gets better with age.
Gasol also reportedly “unfollowed” Howard before following him again on Twitter on Friday night.
