Barkley: Trayvon Victim of 'Racial Profiling,' but Zimmerman Verdict Correct

Former NBA great and TNT commentator Charles Barkley said while he believed Trayvon Martin was a victim of “racial profiling,” the not guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman trial was correct based on the evidence.

He said that “judging by the evidence, I don’t think that guy should have gone to jail for the rest of his life.”

Barkley did say, though, that there was “no question about it” regarding his belief that there was “racial profiling” and said he felt something happened to “change the dynamic” of the night.

He said though Zimmerman was wrong to racially profile Martin, Martin “flipped the switch” and started “beating the hell out of” Zimmerman.

Barkley made his assertions about race even though the prosecution never accused Zimmerman of having a racial bias against Martin because there would be no evidence for such a charge.
