Ohio State Donates PSU Penalty Funds to Child Advocacy Groups

Penn State’s sanctions that prevented them from receiving monetary benefits dispersed by the conference from bowl berths turned out to be Ohio State’s gain.

However, the Buckeyes opted to pass up on the gain.

Ohio State University has chosen instead to donate the $181,000 allocated to it to the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Center for Family Safety and Healingin Columbus and the Court Appointed Special Advocates of FranklinCounty, Ohio.

The donation is designed to assist organizations in standing up for abused children, an appropriate use of the funds which stem from the evil acts Jerry Sandusky committed.
