Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III believes there are gay NFL players and said ‘now is the window’ if they want to come out of the closet. He said though he was a Christian, his philosophy was, “but to each his own.”
In an interview with GQ, Griffin said:
After NBA player Jason Collins announced that he was gay earlier this year and became the first active athlete in a major American sport to be acknowledged by the press as being gay, it was reported that the NFL and other leagues were laying the groundwork for players to come out. Reports indicated that a group of gay NFL players may all come out together on the same day in the future.
