Dolphins' $60M WR Mike Wallace Unhappy After Week 1 Win

The most expensive wide receiver signing of 2013, Miami Dolphins’ Mike Wallace, is already unhappy in South Beach. Wallace signed a 5-year, $60-million contract with the Dolphins but was disgruntled after the team’s week 1 win over the Cleveland Browns.

Wallace only turned in one reception for 15 yards on the day, while teammates Brian Hartline and Brandon Gibson combined for 16 receptions and 191 yards.  Wallace was blanketed by Browns’ CB Joe Haden all game long, reducing his role in the offense to that of a decoy.

After the game Wallace stated, “I don’t want to talk. I don’t feel like talking about it. Ask Coach. It’s not my gameplan.” Undoubtedly, the Dolphins will get plenty of use out of their expensive new weapon this season, but it’s not a good sign when your key addition is already this upset after a week 1 win.
