NFL to Speak to Dolphins Offensive Line Coach

Miami Dolphins offensive line coach Jim Turner is known to use insulting and profane language around his players. The NFL wants to speak to him about his behavior in light of Dolphins offensive tackle Jonathan Martin’s harassment claims.

Sources in and outside the Dolphins organization said Turner, who has a military background, would “insult, bully and pile it on” Martin, who left the team last week.

Martin spent nearly seven hours Friday during his meeting with special investigator Ted Wells, who is leading the league’s investigation.

Martin has alleged that he was subjected to bullying and harassment by fellow offensive lineman Richie Incognito, who has been suspended indefinitely by the Dolphins for conduct detrimental to the team.

With all of the new information, the NFL said the investigation will take a lot longer than they originally thought. They think it will take weeks before any results are announced. Sources also said the investigation will be larger than just Martin’s teammates and the coaching staff. Some believe the front office might be involved as well.

Incognito filed a grievance Thursday against the Dolphins and said his behavior was normal for the locker room. He admitted to using racist and profane language against Martin. It was reported that Martin is in therapy for treatment for post traumatic stress disorder and depression.
