OAKLAND, Calif.
Authorities say a football fan jumped from the third deck of the Oakland Coliseum, injuring herself and a man one level below who tried to catch her.

Stadium officials say the woman plunged about 45 feet after Sunday’s Raiders game. She and the man who tried to catch her were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Alameda County Sheriff’s Sgt. J.D. Nelson told KTVU-TV (https://bit.ly/1816L6u) that the woman went to an area that is closed off to the public and leaped off the edge as people on the deck below tried to persuade her not to jump.

Nelson said the unidentified woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and the man was in stable condition.

The Raiders lost 23-19 to the Tennessee Titans.
