On Wednesday, ESPN ran an ad for Obamacare after rejecting a commercial from a Catholic hospital because the network found the words “God” and “Jesus” to be problematic.
In the Obamacare ad, the announcer says, according to a Weekly Standard transcript:
“Now, for the first time, you can be covered — with a quality health plan from the new health insurance marketplace, part of the health care law… It’s where brand name companies offer plans you can compare side by side. And it’s the place to get lower monthly payments. … So if you have an accident, get sick, or just need a check-up. Enroll now at the Health Insurance Marketplace at healthcare.gov.”
President Barack Obama has not only filled out NCAA men’s and women’s college basketball brackets for the network every year since he has been in office, but Obama recently said that he would like to host SportsCenter‘s “Top 10″ plays once he leaves office.
