Super Bowl Blackout in Southern California for Time Warner Customers

The Super Bowl has been blacked out for Southern California’s Time Warner customers since halftime due to some technical issues:

Customers watching the Super Bowl who are subscribers of Time Warner Cable in Southern California have been left in the dark as the cable system appears to have gone down due to some unknown technical issues.

Hews Media Group-Community Newspaper has received calls and text messages from Time Warner Cable Customers in Santa Fe Springs, Bellflower, Boyle Heights, East Los Angeles and North Hollywood who are reporting that outage took place at the beginning of halftime.

“We get all of the other channels except Fox,” said a reader who identified himself as Ron.

“I was watching my team the Denver Broncos losing 22- 0 and then my FOX channel froze and then turned gray. Please let me know who wins,” was posted on the Facebook page of John Paul Drayer who is a member  of the Cerritos College Board of Trustees who is also a resident of Bellflower.

Seattle is pummeling the Denver Broncos 29-0, and Southern California’s Time Warner customers may have missed Percy Harvin’s kickoff return to start the second half. They were, though, able to see what was perhaps the most interesting part of the Super Bowl — Bruno Mars’ halftime show.
