About 500,000 people will reportedly turn out as the Seattle Seahawks celebrate their franchise’s first Super Bowl victory in a parade that will start at the Space Needle and end at CenturyLink Field, which provides the Seahawks with the most ferocious home-field advantage in football.
There will be, of all things, “Duck vehicles”:
The amphibious Duck vehicles sit high off the ground and have open sides so spectators will get a good view, said Brian Tracey, owner of Ride the Ducks, a company that gives city tours and is popular with tourists. Tracey anticipated that 11 Ducks would be needed for all the Seahawks but said the final number is in flux.
This is the city’s first championship in a major sport since the 1979 Seattle SuperSonics title.
