Well, I spoke too soon. I recently wrote a column about an incredible performance from a high school basketball player in the Philadelphia suburbs named Kevin Grow. The senior cager with Down Syndrome hit a free throw, recorded a steal, and went coast to coast for a lay-up Friday night. The night of his athletic life.

Kevin got into the game again on Saturday for the Bensalem Owls, and this time while continuing to play tough defense as he did last time out, he also showed more of his hoops repertoire. Kevin went on a three-point barrage Saturday, nailing four of his five attempts from downtown. The 18-year old was on fire, and he is warming the hearts in his community.
Kevin and his teammates beat Neshaminy, 64-40. This was the second straight game for Kevin who has served as team manager for four years. It all built up to this incredible moment. A packed house reveled in Kevin’s precision from deep. He finished as the Owls’ leader with 14-points. In fact, he led all scorers.
After his last three of the night which came as time expired, Kevin was mobbed by his teammates. A Senior Day for this high school that will never be forgotten. One super senior made sure of that.
