Baseball Teams Using Drones in Spring Training

The Washington Nationals and the Miami Marlins are using drones to film practices during spring training. 

Though the Nationals have said that they are using the drones for promotional vides, they may ultimately use the drones to help position their outfielders. Marlins manager Mike Redmond also said he hopes to use the drones for baseball purposes to “track routes taken by outfielders on fly balls.”
